I Built a Castle out of Lime Green Jello

                                                      I built a castle
                                                      out of lime green Jello
                                                      it shimmered & shook
                                                      but didn’t fall down
                                                      and I was happier
                                                      than I’ve ever been.


                                                           I built a bridge
                                                           out of Ringo records
                                                           across the sea of now
                                                           as far as the eye could see
                                                           honey in the beverage,
                                                           sassafras the tea.

   
                                                                I swam in a wave
                                                                of aquamarine
                                                                under a star of pure gold
                                                                although not quite understood to me
                                                                the wind whispered
                                                                something akin to poetry.


                                                      I awoke from a dream
                                                      in the Dakota Territory
                                                      with a sweet dog named Pal
                                                      100 billion universes
                                                      spinning overhead
                                                      lighting our humble trail.
